1802 the first settlement was laid out in the North Western cornor of the township by John Frazee and family, Also John Colthar and his sons Matthew, Isaac, James and John.
In 1803 Thomas Liming, James Liming and Samuel Liming settled the Eastern Part of the township
Between 1810 & 1820 William Kennedy and his sons John and Robert along with son in law George Flick settled the Central area of the township.
In 1820 the North Eastern part of the township was settled by John Derry, James and Hugh Kennedy Samuel Price and numorous others.
